West Chester Borough Council is accepting applications for volunteer positions for the following :
- Civil Service Commission
- Community Campus Committee
- Historic Architectural Review Board
- Historical Commission
- Human Relations Commission
- Sustainability Advisory Commission
- Tree Commission
- West Chester Library Board
Civil Service Commission advises the Council and Mayor in hiring of personnel in police officer positions in the Police Department
Community Campus Committee promotes communication and collaboration between Borough of West Chester community leaders, residents and West Chester University officials
Historic Architectural Review Board reviews, discusses and advises on design, demolitions, renovations, etc.
Historical Commission advocates for the preservation of historic resources
Human Relations Commission responsible for coordinating with the West Chester Borough Manager regarding received complaints and answers.
Sustainability Advisory Commission advises the Borough Council on sustainable practices, monitors Borough's carbon footprint, and stormwater quality matters.
Tree Commission provides residents with information on the urban canopy, tree maintenance and more.
West Chester Library Board directs the operation of the West Chester Public Library.
