Borough Building Closed - Until Further Notice

The Borough Building will be closed to the public until further notice in response to preventative measures regarding COVID-19.

The West Chester Borough Administration Offices remain closed until further notice.

Although the Municipal Building is closed, much of our staff is working remotely and we will do our best to continue providing service.

All Borough Council Meetings will be conducted virtually via WebEx until further notice.

Trash and Recycling will continue your normal collection days.

Parking Enforcement shall be FREE at metered spaces in the town center until 7:00 PM. After 7:00 PM, enforcement at meter spaces will be enforced so that vehicles are not left at spaces overnight.

Street Sweeping will continue in the Town Center and Parking Restriction times will be enforced in this area. NO Street Sweeping will be done in Residential areas in the Borough.

Essential services will continue which include, regular trash & recycling pick-up, and street sweeping in Town Center only. There will be no non-essential services from the Public Works

Parking enforcement remains available for resident complaints.

West Chester Borough has a secured “Drop Box” in the main parking lot located next to the flagpole and bike rack. This box is to be used for paying parking tickets.

The playground equipment in all borough parks are closed until further notice.

The basketball courts in the borough parks are closed until further notice.

Street Sweeping will begin again on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 on the regular schedule. There will be no enforcement however in order to clean up we would appreciate residents to comply with the posted signage.

PECO Extends COVID-19 Customer Support Efforts Through June 1: To offer continued assistance to customers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, PECO is extending its support policies, which include suspending service disconnections, waiving new late fees, and reconnecting customers who were previously disconnected, through at least June 1

Essential services will continue which include, regular trash & recycling pick-up. There will be no non-essential services from the Public Works Department.

***Please note we have temporarily adjusted the Yard Waste Schedule: yard waste will be collected on your trash day (Monday-Thursday) every week. We will not be accommodating any drop off service. Please make sure your biodegradable bags are out by 7AM.***
