The Sustainability Advisory Committee (SAC) is a volunteer committee established to advise Borough Council on matters of sustainability. The SAC was adopted as an Ad-Hoc Committee by Borough Council in November 2015 with a mission to increase collaboration between borough departments on issues regarding the economic vitality and environmental sustainability of West Chester Borough.
The committee aims to:
Champion sustainability initiatives of Borough residents and businesses;
Advise Borough Council on matters of sustainability;
Promote the use of green infrastructure and sustainable best practices throughout the Borough, including reviewing all land development plans
SAC members are appointed by Borough Council and serve two-year terms.
The public is always welcome to participate or present concerns or opportunities to the committee for consideration.
