Communications Division

The West Chester Borough Police Department’s Communication Center is located on the first floor of the West Chester Municipal Building, 401 East Gay Street, West Chester PA and is staffed with qualified communication officers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our communication center assists the residents and visitors of West Chester Borough and East Bradford Township with numerous emergency and non-emergency incidents each year.

Our communication center is able to communicate not only with the Officers of the West Chester Police Department via radio, but also our surrounding departments such as West Goshen Township Police, West Chester University Public Safety and the Pennsylvania State Police if the need arises. The center can also speak directly via radio with the West Chester Public Works and the West Chester Parking Division.

The West Chester Communications Center is linked directly to the Chester County 911 Center with a Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD). The CAD system allows our center and the 911 center to enter emergencies and update currant incidents that sends information to the police officer's Mobil Data Terminals (MDC) in their vehicles. We are also linked to the Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (C.L.E.A.N.) which enables our staff to view and enter stolen property and vehicles, obtain criminal and driving information along with gun permits and purchases.

Please browse the Communication Section of the website for more information. Any further questions can be directed to Chief Communication Officer Dave March.
