BOROUGH RECYCLING
PROGRAM
Recycling in West Chester follows the same schedule as trash collection. We
have a "commingled" curbside collection program, meaning that the following
recyclables may be mixed together in your blue 20 gallon recycling container:
Clear, green, and brown glass, Plastic containers #1-7, Aluminum beverage cans,
and steel food and beverage cans. Mixed paper must be packed in brown paper
bags or CLEAR plastic bags, and placed next to bins. Cardboard must be
flattened, reduced in size to at most a 3'X3' bundle, secured with either
string or twine, and placed next to bins. If you do not have a container, you
may pick one up at the Public Works Department at 205 Lacey Street for a
charge of $6.00 per container. There is no limit to the amount of recycling
you may put out each week, so we encourage you to purchase extra bins if
needed. Remember to print your address on the container in the space
provided.

contact their private collection contractor for information on recycling these
products.
