American Girl Bus Trip
The May 17th trip is sold out, but we do have space available for Aug. 8th
We will leave WC at 8:00am and then leave from NYC at 4:30pm.
Cost: $110.00 per person
Includes: morning snack, transportation, luncheon at American Girl Place, ticket to the show, time to shop at American Gilr Place, & all taxes/tips.
Lunch will be at 11:00am
Showtime will be at 12:30pm

STAR PARTY

Location: Hoopes Park (700 Hoopes Park Lane)
Facilitator: Chester County Astronomical Society

Members of the Chester County Association will help participants find the constellations in the sky and will also have telescopes set up for observing the Moon, planets and deep sky objects. The Moon will be crossing the Beehive Cluster right next to the Red Planet Mars. The ringed beauty, Saturn, will also be visible that night.
Some of the other constellations we will see are Leo the Lion, Gemini the Twins, and Hercules the Strongman. So come out and see the wonders of the night sky!


Turk's Head Music Festival CD on sale now!
For the first time ever we are proud to be able to offer music from our Turks Head Music Festival. Last year was the 25th Anniversary for this West Chester tradition. So thanks to the tireless efforts of Jonathan Orose (of the Orose Foundation for the Performing Arts www.orosefoundation.org ) we now have a CD on sale in our office. This 11 track CD has a compilation of several of the acts that performed at last year's incredible festival. If you are interested in getting one of your own, please stop by the office and pick one up for a mere $10.00. Reminder, all the proceeds from the sale of these CDs will go back into funding other terrific West Chester Recreation activities/events.


Applications for all West Chester Recreation's major events (May Day, Super Sunday, Turks Head Music Festival, Restaurant Festival, & Harvest Festival) are now available on this site. Please make sure to print out an application for each event you plan to participate in. Click on the link to the right as to which type of vendor you are, print out the form, fill it out and send it to us with correct number of checks/amounts.
Note to vendors:
Crafters are vendors that make or produce what they sell at the events.
Non Crafters are vendors that resell a prepurchased items or are information boothes for area merchants.

Volunteers needed!!!
Anyone interested in volunteering his/her time to help out with any of West Chester Recreation's events or activities please call 610-436-9010 for details. We also need help planning this year's 26th annual Turks Head Music Festival. If you are interested in joining the committee that selects the bands, solicits sponsors, and or donations, and works at the festival please call our department at the afformentioned number.
