STROLLER STRIDES is a full body, interval based workout that incorporates cardio, body toning, resistance tubing and the stroller for an approximate 60 minute workout. These 5 one hour classes are for dogs that need basic training, any age and breed. Dogs and Handlers will work on commands such as: stay until released, come to heel, come when called, walking nicely on a leash, watch and leave it. We use positive methods and Doggy Yoga will be included in the class for relaxation.

Class requirements:

  • Two people per dog may attend class but only one person may handle the dog in class.
  • Children must be 8 years old to attend
  • Proof of Rabies is required
  • Dogs must wear a secure buckle, snap or martingale collar or appropriate harness.
  • No flexi leashes or electric collars allowed

Yin practice focuses on deep stretching of the connective tissue and fascia, releasing muscle tension and creating greater flexibility.  Yin postures are passive with the goal of relaxing into the postures over time. Postures are held between 3 and 5 minutes each. As you advance in your yoga practice (or in any other physical undertaking) it is important to balance the building of muscle with the therapeutic release this practice offers. Come practice Yin under the trees of Marshall Square Park with owner of Equanimity Hatha Yoga, Jane Clark. In this weeklong program, campers will have tons of fun mixing up potions and experimenting with all kinds of chemical reactions! Our young chemists will grow crystals, create sidewalk chalk, and even make chromatography T-Shirts to take home. Students will also become science sleuths as they investigate how chemistry provides evidence at the scene of a crime. During this hands-on detective work, children will gather & test “crime scene” clues, make & analyze their own fingerprints, make Rainbow Stompers & much more.

Learn aerodynamics and stages of flight with rockets and flight demonstrations. This camp includes lots of hands-on, minds-on take home projects everyday too!

Musical Adventures with Scratch and Makey Makey, we are going to explore how different sounds are created and we When your favorite song comes on the radio do you sit quietly or do you dance around and play the air drum solo? In will create our own interpretations of common musical instruments like drums, piano, guitar, and even a recorder, and we will create our very own dancing program, all through the use of Makey Makey and Scratch to bring our music to life! The last day will end with a bang, or at least a really great mini concert from all of our students!

Zero to sixty in two seconds?!  How fast can an object go without compromising safety?  Students in this camp will work with their Pit Crew to design and build vehicles, such as dragsters and hovering levitrons, which should able to withstand astonishing speeds.  Fasten your seat belt, the race has begun!
During the Momentum Madness camp, students will explore four fields of engineering: industrial, electrical, mechanical, and aerospace.  They will design and construct vehicles and safety mechanisms that will achieve the fastest speeds while still maintaining safe racing conditions.

Imagine designing a piano using celery or creating a custom digital training program. Now, envision playing video games using just your body, a bit of wire and your own imagination. In our hardware engineering program, students engineer their own customized video game controllers using a Makey Makey device and materials that can be found in just about any kitchen. Through application of circuitry, acoustical engineering and video game design, students discover new ways to interact with technology, all while creating unique designs in a fun collaborative environment.

In Junior Robotics: Simple Machines United, students will explore the basic concepts of simple machines and how we use them to achieve even our most grandiose goals! Students will use LEGO® WeDo™ construction and resource kits to produce new and exciting builds that will be used to create Kelvin’s Amusement Park.

Everyone has to travel, and engineers are involved in all the steps of designing different modes of transportation as well as inventing and designing tools that aid in travel.  Everyone’s travel needs are different, weather they need to walk around their local community to do errands, or they need to be half way across the world by evening!
During this camp, students will get their passports and travel to a new country every day by a different means!  They will engineer their mode of transportation or tool to aid in transportation daily to get to their destination country.  At the end of the week, they will have built several different means to travel by, and have a passport full of culture and all their memories from the week from the places they visited.

3D printing and Minecraft both represent boundless opportunity for creating even our wildest of ideas! In 3D Printing: Minecraft Creations, students will explore the basic concepts of 3D printing and computer-aided design, or CAD, to bring their most awesome Minecraft creation to life! Students will take their Minecraft design out of the world of Minecraft and learn how to extrude it into a 3D model that can then be modified to be printed in 3D.

Your children will work as cast and crew teams in this cool summer camp. Campers learn basic levels of acting, directing and operating the camera. Script writing, storyboarding and improvisation will also be introduced.  They will work on projects as commercials, film scenes, music videos and public service announcements. Each day is different as they create their very own original projects.  They will truly learn the basics of the biz.  At the end of camp, footage of the camper’s projects will be sent to a professional editor, and parents will have the option to order for purchase a USB as a camp keepsake! Kathy Wickline, CSA (www.wicklinecasting.com) is a top casting director of TV and Film right here in Philadelphia and has selected real life projects for kids to enjoy while being introduced to this industry!

Jump Start Sports Camps are fun-oriented and highly instructional. The relaxed and nurturing atmosphere enables children to learn, grow, make friends, and have a meaningful summer experience. Jump Start Sports Camps are fun oriented and focus on fundamentals, but more advanced players will learn more advanced concepts and will be coached at their ability and level of understanding. We utilize innovative drills, competitions, and games to help teach as well as to make the program more fun for children.

Morning Activities: We’ll begin each day with an “all-campactivity such as Capture the Flag, British Bulldog, Red Rover, or a scavenger hunt. On hot days, campers will cool off with spirited water games.

Theme Sport: The camp features a different sport each week. Coaches and counselors with expertise in the featured sport

implement a program designed specifically for the ability and understanding of each age group. Campers learn about a different aspect of the sport each day and apply what theyve learned by playing a fun, low-key game.

Looking for a fun fitness challenge?  Join us at the Ultimate Warrior Camp.  Age-appropriate and safe activities specifically designed to challenge, inspire, and excite.  Games and tasks this week include obstacle courses, relays, tug-of-war, and many other fun activities designed to teach cooperation and teamwork while also developing self-esteem.

College Days Sports Camp

It's graduation time from sports camp.  Children "enroll" in the college of their choice and have a blast learning about and playing a wide variety of college sports, including football, basketball, soccer, hockey, volleyball, lacrosse, and more. Campers make a school pennant and wear their school colors to demonstrate their school spirit throughout the week. Children are separated by age for all competitive activities

July 10th - July 14th

World Cup Soccer Camp

Campers get their kicks at the World Cup Soccer Camp! Players learn foot skills, passing, shooting, goal keeping, and team concepts. Each day, they are also divided by gender and skill level and participate in games. The last few days of camp, small teams represent a country and participate in a fun World Cupcompetition.

July 17th - July 21st

Color Games Sports Camp

A great old camp theme has come to West Chester! Campers are divided into teams and play a wide variety of sports and camp games, competing for Color Pride”. This fun format enables children learn and benefit from the positive aspects of competition while working with a team toward a common goal. Sports included are football, basketball, soccer, hockey, volleyball, lacrosse, and more! Camp games include Team Dodge Ball, Capture the Flag and more. Get ready for a week of fun and lots of exercise!

Olympics Camp

The Olympics are coming to West Chester! Children are grouped by age and divided into countries to learn about a wide variety of Olympic sports, including soccer, hockey, team handball, and track and field. Campers learn about the culture and history of their adopted country and make a flag to carry at the "Closing Ceremonies" and "Presentation of Medals".
